Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. The tool collects only six pieces of information: your gender, date of birth, general health status, tobacco use, desired coverage amount, and the term length you're comparing. Those answers generate rates from real carriers. Your name and detailed health information stay private unless you decide to apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
These are the rates each carrier would charge based on the health category you indicated. The actual premium you pay after underwriting might differ—carriers can confirm, improve, or adjust your health classification. Nothing shown here is a guaranteed price or an offer of coverage.
What happens when I click Apply?
When you apply, you enter your name, and your quote details transfer to the carriers' secure system. You can pause and return later, then sign electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California broker (License 0B75129), handles the application on your behalf.
Will I need a medical exam?
That depends on the carrier you choose, the amount of coverage, and your health information. Some carriers can approve eligible applicants immediately; others require a medical exam or may ask additional questions. Each quote clearly indicates what the carrier needs from you.
Is a longer term better?
Choose a term that covers the years your family would struggle without your income—mortgage years, children's schooling, business debts. Longer terms mean higher monthly costs but lock in your rate for more years. The tool lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30-year options side by side.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The tool doesn't ask for contact information. We don't sell or share visitor data, and we measure site traffic without cookies. For a complete list of what information is collected and who can access it, see our privacy page.
